To process payments, a merchant account with one of the payment processors that integrate with Sumac is needed. After getting a merchant account, the merchant information is entered into Sumac. Then, transactions can be processed in Sumac over the phone, in-house, or on the website.
Sumac does not charge any fees for transactions. The fees charged by the payment processor are the only ones to be paid.
Sumac can record payment information and process credit card payments instantly. For example, it can be used to process payments for donations, membership fees, or registrations.
In order for Sumac to process payments, a merchant account with one of Sumac's supported payment processors, iATS or Stripe, must be opened.
If credit card information is taken over the phone, the information can be entered and payments processed in Sumac automatically. If dealing with physical credit cards, Sumac integrates with mag stripe readers to help process credit cards quickly, save time and increase accuracy. If accepting credit cards on the website, Sumac can process payment and record all the details in the database.
Please note that if changes are made to the Google account (e.g., changing the email address or password), disassociate the previous Google account from the Sumac user profile. How To Open A Sumac Account?
To open an account on sumac.com, follow these steps:
- An Administrator of the Sumac database must create all Sumac users.
- Once the Administrator provides a username and password, there are two options for logging in:
- Sign into Sumac with the login and password provided by the Sumac Administrator.
- If there is a Google account, use the "Login with Google" option.
- To login with a Google account, connect the Google Account to the Sumac user profile.
- In the Sumac login window, enter the Sumac username and password provided by the Sumac Administrator, then click "Login with Google".
- The web browser will open, and there will be a prompt to select the Google account to link, and log into it.
- After successfully logging into the Google account, a confirmation message will be received.
- Return to the Sumac login window and click "Login".
- The Google account is now linked to the Sumac user profile.
- The next time logging into Sumac, sign in using the Google Account.

Sumac Return Policy?
Sumac Store offers a Return & Refund Policy. If you wish to return or exchange your order for any reason, Sumac provides options for store credit, refund, or exchange depending on the reason for returning the goods.
For a change of mind, you are eligible for store credit and product exchange only, provided that the goods are:
- Returned within 10 days of receiving the order
- As new and not used, worn, or opened
- All original packaging and tags intact (including any package seals, if any, being unbroken)
- In a resalable condition
- Not damaged in any way
Please note the following exceptions to the return and exchange policy:
- Store credit or product exchanges cannot be arranged until the item is received within 10 days
- Discounted items are final and cannot be returned or exchanged
- Items that are in transit cannot be exchanged or given store credit. If you have already received your shipping confirmation, you will not be eligible for an exchange or store credit until you receive your item
- Change of mind returns on items that come in sealed packages or boxes where seals are damaged or broken cannot be accepted
- Returned items must have tags still on and be returned in original packaging
- Returned items must have no visible signs of wear or use
If goods are not believed to be applicable for a remedy upon inspection (for example, where the goods have been misused, or there was a failure to use in accordance with manufacturer's instructions, used it in an abnormal way or there has been a failure to take reasonable care), the claim will be rejected and the goods will be returned to you. You must cover the cost of return shipping in order to receive goods that have been rejected on inspection.
To return your item for change of mind, you must contact support@sumacstore.com, with a photo of your item in its original packaging, reason for return, order ID, and name and delivery address associated with your order. You will be responsible for the cost and risk of returning goods, including the cost of return shipping. If the item is not received, you will not be eligible for a credit or exchange. It is recommended to insure high value items that you return for change of mind.
If you have a problem with your goods within 10 days after receiving your order, please contact support@sumacstore.com immediately. Once an item is returned, it will either be inspected for any claimed defect or in some cases, sent to third parties for assessment and/or repair. If you receive a damaged item, please keep all original packaging and send photo evidence of damage to support@sumacstore.com. Evidence should include all packaging (inner and outer with shipping label visible) and the product itself.
